OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous

You saw one picture of this mani in my Week 1 Photo Challenge post, here are lots more pictures of this blingy mani! I adore this polish! It has a flawless formula, glides on easily and stays where you want it to be. For my accent nail I used a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, the center dots are Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous and the dark outlines are Sinful Colors Ardoise!

These are all photos from indoors.

Here are some outside pictures to show just how sparkly this polish is!

I love that this polish has blue undertones, as similar shades like Chanel Graphite and OPI Number One Nemesis looked ghastly on my pale skin tone.

Green Nails

Here are some of the green manis I wore for the week of St. Paddys Day!  First, let me get this out the the way, Julie G Gelato In Venice is the perfect pastel green!! It had a flawless formula, and I wore it for 6 days with barely any tip wear! For $3.99 I think this polish is a must own!
Here is Gelato In Venice by itself, I thought I would hate green and I really didn't want to take this one off. I have some new things planned to use this for that you will see in the coming weeks.

Green Clouds: I used OPI Nail Envy as my base, the light cloud is Julie G Gelato In Venice and the darker cloud is OPI Jade Is The New Black.

My attempt at a Ruffian Mani. Floral, dotted, ruffian hot mess. Using the same colors as the cloud, white is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

And here is a picture of Gelato In Venice after 5 days of wearing it.  I added the accent of Jade Is The New Black a few days in.

Easy Galaxy Nails

You saw a hint of this mani in my Week 1 challenge post, heres more details and photos of the mani.
I love the look of galaxy nails, but I don't have the patience to layer and sponge so many different polishes over each other. This is 2 easy coats of OPI I Saw... You Saw... We Saw Warsaw, with Sinful Colors Hottie layered on top.  Then I used OPI I Vant To Be A Lone Star to make stars and dots.  On my accent nail I used two small Recollections rhinestones from Michaels.

I found this mani to be a little too busy for my liking. But Warsaw with Hottie layered before the nail art is just gorgeous!! This is mani I see myself wearing over and over.  Its dark and vampy, but sparkly too. Here are some pics of that for your viewing pleasure :)

Nautical Stripe Accent Nail

Day 2 of the March- I Have A Life Photo A Day- Challenge!! Day 2 calls for striped nails... this was hard for me!! I tried to freehand stripes first, trying to do a bright beach towel kind of stripey thing... Yah that was a fail, but just for giggles I'll post it for you guys.. Then I decided that I should just use what I have, striping tape!! So that inspired my Nautical striped accent nail.
For this mani I used OPI Vodka and Caviar, on the accent nail I did a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and OPI I Saw... You Saw... We Saw Warsaw for the stripes.  I used small rhinestones from a Recollections set from Michaels.

Quite frankly I adore this mani, its glossy and classy and I can't wait to wear something similar again.  Next time I think i would do metallic dots instead of  rhinestones, but that would be to increase the wearability for me.

As a reminder, here is a the info for the challenge I am doing!

Chevron Accent Nail

Today is the first day of the March Nail Art Challenge! Day 1 is chevron nails, I love this look but have never tried it before.  I freehanded chevrons using a thin paint brush and some China Glaze Neons!

The base is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls [shocking I know ;)], and China Glaze Pink Plumeria and Surfin' For Boys. I love these colors together, melon tones are so on trend for spring! But I think next time I attempt chevrons or any other hand painted nail art I will make sure to use more opaque colors, because going over the lines multiple times made my lines less polished looking than I would have liked.

Gradient Nails

After I swatched OPI Don't Be Such A Budapest, I was reminded of lovely spring pastries, so I searched for some color matched goodies. I found this picture and thought it would be great inspiration for some nail art.
picture via google, here is the source
I applied a base of Don't Be Such A Budapest to all of my nails, on my pinky and ring fingers is sponged a gradient of DBSAB and OPI Pink Friday, following the sponging I applied one layer of OPI Care To Danse to even out the sponging. On my pointer and middle fingers I used a dotting tool to make spring flowers with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as the petals and Pink Friday for the center.

These nails make me want to wear a flouncy skirt and go to a tea party or something. I feel extremely girlie with these nails.
