Mermaid Mani Spam

These are pretty old manis, but my inspiration has been majorly lacking lately. I still love a good mermaid design but haven't had the motivation lately. I hope you enjoy this mermaid mani spam, I surely do :)

I just love mermaids! When I was first getting into nails and nail art blogs, I saw stamped mermaid nails everywhere and I fell in love! When nail vinyls came on to the scene, I snapped up mermaid scale vinyls as fast as I could, but unfortunately they were all just too big my little nails. Luckily various brands heard the cries of tiny nailed girls everywhere and came out with mini scale vinyls! If you know of vinyl shops that sell mini versions of vinyls or just small designs in general let me know in the comments!

If you want to know any of the polishes used, let me know in the comments!

Hope you enjoyed my mermaid manis! I have a few more planned, so stay tuned :)

Stay Sparkly,
A

Envy Lacquer Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil Collection

**disclosure- these polishes were received as a gift from Melody of Envy Lacquer as we are IRL friends and I help her out with Envy and TIS**

Envy Lacquer just launched the first full collection in the stunning new square bottles! I am obsessed with the design of the bottles and the new brush, I barely had any clean up with any of these swatches. Melody, the creative genius behind Envy Lacquer, loves the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and since the movie takes place in Georgia it was the perfect collection to premier at TIS Atlanta. I didn't love the movie, but I freaking love this collection!

Deep in Voodoo County
This is a smooth, pale gray crelly base full of silver holo glitters, black holo glitter and tiny scattered holo bits. I did 3 thin coats of this beauty so that all of the different glitters would shine though.

Deliciously Evil
This polish is a black crelly base with tons of metallic flakies and tiny holo goodness. The flakies are warm toned and shifty, showing mainly red, orange, and pink toned. This polish reminds me of cozy autumn nights and I can't wait to wear this polish all year long. I did 2 thin coats for this opacity.

I Will Shoot a Man
This kelly green shimmery base reminds me of the OG China Glaze glass fleck polishes with so much extra goodness added in. There are tons of metallic looking flakies that shift from shades of green to gold. This polish makes me think of a mermaid in the best possible way. I did 2 coats for opacity, but if your nails are really long or have super white tips you might need to do 3 coats.

Minerva
This polish is a dusty, gray toned lilac full of shifty pigment that goes from pink/red to copper to gold. This formula is kind of thin/sheer but if it wasn't all of the shifty pigment would be hidden. I love this polish and formula, but I'm not sure if it is the best color for me. I did 3 thin coats for color and opacity.

Tears in a Bucket
I did 3 thin coats here, but you could easily do 2 regular coats for opacity. This is a metallic royal blue base that shifts to purple in the bottle, but I didn't see the shift on my nails. Its full of holo flakies and glitters, I also see some linear holo going through the base. Some of the flakies are a bit big, but they were really easy to smooth out and manipulate on the nail.

Just for fun, here is a pic of my Tears In A Bucket mani after 7 days! This mani survived the flights to and from Atlanta for The Indie Shop, moving boxes and boxes of polish, setting up and tearing down the Envy Lacquer booth, general touristy things in Atlanta and typing pages and pages of research. Seriously this polish is bomb stayed on like nobodies business!

This collection launched at The Indie Shop Atlanta and is available on the website now!

Stay Sparkly,
A
