L'oreal Wet Shine Stains

L'oreal just released their Colour Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain, longest name ever!! These are allegedly a dupe of the lemming worthy YSL Glossy Stains.  I purchased Endless Red and Rose On And On.  So far I have only tried Endless Red, which when applied is a very pink based color, not quite sure I would classify it as red, but it is beautiful none the less.  I applied the lip color and then almost immediately after began eating dinner.  No later than 5 minutes after applying I was drinking soda through a straw and saw that there was absolutely zero lip color transfer onto the straw!! Which is amazing and completely worth noting.
The only draw back to these lip colors is the smell. This may be a personal gripe, but I do not like scented products and I found this to have a strong odor.  It wasn't a bad smell, it was just too strong for my taste.

Immediately after applying Endless Red

After eating

After 2 hours

As you can see I lost most of the shine after eating, but the stain was still there. I will post pictures of Rose On And On this weekend after I get a chance to wear it.  So far I totally recommend this product. It has great color pay off and texture, 3 hours in and my lips still have color and do not feel dry at all.

This product comes in 12 colors total, and I have my eyes set on a few more shades.  Have you tried this product? I would love to hear your reactions and which colors you tried!

OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls

Where to begin about My Boyfriend Scales Walls...? This polish is AMAZING! Typical perfect OPI formula.  Initially I skipped over the entire Spiderman collection, even though I love OPI and Spiderman, the polishes just didn't do it for me.  After seeing swatch after swatch of MBSW and seeing some bloggers using it over and over again for nail art I decided it was worth a try.  I am so glad I finally bought this! It is clean and white, without looking like I painted my nails with white out. This is a slightly grayed out white that looks absolutely stunning.  I used this as a base for some glitter nail art, which I will show you later this week!

Also, this is without top coat. This polish was so shiny by itself!  This may be a collection from last year, but I have seen it for sale recently at my local Planet Beauty!

China Glaze Manhunt

My oh my, China Glaze sure knows how to make a cream polish!! I feel like I say that each time I try one.  This is Manhunt from the CG Fall On Safari Collection!! This polish flowed easily and stayed where I wanted it to be, I didn't experience any cuticle flooding.  It is dark blue perfection! I love that it is dark and glossy, but not too dark that it appears black.  In my pictures it appears a bit darker than it did in real life, all pics were taken inside due to the rainy weather Los Angeles was experiencing. The first picture is the most true to color.  This is two coats, first thin the second slightly thicker, followed by Seche Vite.

Also, I should add that after removal I didn't have any staining!! Which is awesome considering these rich blue tones can stain easily! I see myself reaching for this polish over and over again.

Zoya Blaze Half Moonicure

After wearing China Glaze Prey Tell for a few days, I felt like adding some sparkle without completely changing my mani.  I used binder hole reinforcements to make the moon shape, I usually do a larger half moon, but my nails are shorter than usual so I thought a smaller moon would make my nails look longer.. I think it definitely worked :) Blaze went on extremely opaque and sparkly, but due to the current rainy and cloudy conditions in Los Angeles, I wasn't able to capture the holo goodness in the polish.  I can't wait to wear this polish again once its sunnier!

I apologize for the state of my cuticles, the frigid weather we have been having in Cali has destroyed my skin, I've been using Avoplex obsessively, and its improving, but not quite great yet.

China Glaze Prey Tell

This is my kind of polish!! I love a good vampy creme.  Prey Tell is from the Fall 2012 On Safari collection.  I was late to the party with this one, initially swatches didn't woo me, but the more I looked I really wanted to track this one down.  This polish worried me at first, the first thin coat applied quite streaky on me (which may have more to do with my lack of polish applying skills and less to do with the polish... ) and looked to be a bright berry color. But luckily upon applying the second coat a glossy deep blacked plummy burgundy shade appeared.  I apologize for the state of my pictures, I wore the polish for a day or two before taking the pictures.

Also, I thought this color was a pretty perfect match to my hair.

New Year New Polish

My first haul post! I had planned on not buying any new polish until after the OPI Euro Centrale collection was released... but then I wandered into Ulta and found some new pretties that were on sale and it was all down hill from there.
From Target:

Essie Butler Please
Sinful Colors Ciao Bella!

From Ulta:

Revlon Midnight Sparkle
China Glaze Manhunt, Purr-fect Plum, Prey Tell and Exotic Encounters
Layla Ceramic Effect CE 54

From Sally Beauty

China Glaze For Audrey
Seche Vite Top Coat

If you haven't been to Sally's lately you really should go, they have a sale going where you get a free China Glaze polish (excludes Tranzitions Collection) when you purchase a bottle of Seche Vite Top Coat... which is the only top coat I use.  This deal is also valid online in case you do not have a Sally's near you, using promo code 444826.

As you can tell, I love a good creme polish. So far I've only worn Butler Please, but I can't wait to try out all of my new polishes!

My First Leopard Nails

I have been an avid reader of nail polish blogs for a while and have always wanted to try Leopard Print nails.  I recently found an incredibly easy video tutorial from Chalkboard Nails, while my leopard print is not nearly as great as hers, I think its a good start.  Leopard nails are not at all as difficult as I anticipated, I'm already planning future color combinations in my head.  For my next try, I will make sure there is more of a contrast between my center dot color and the outline color.
Polishes used:
Pointer, Middle, Pinkie and Thumb (not pictured): Essie Butler Please
Ring: OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Essie Butler Please and OPI Light My Sapphire

I absolutely LOVE the color of Butler Please, but Essie formula just doesn't love me. It has been 24 hours since I painted my nails and I already have a sizable chip on my pointer finger. The OPI on the other hand has such a fabulous formula and has no sign of tip wear yet.
Hi guys!! Welcome to my blog! This blog is going to be about my love of accessories. I consider don't just consider shoes, purses and jewelry as accessories, I will also be including nail polish and make up! I will be exploring my personal style and also what the current trends are.

Enjoy :)
