Lancome Vernis In Love

I heard good reviews about Lancome nail polish on Instagram so I decided to give it a try. And let me tell you, I am so glad I did!! I picked up the entire summer polish collection, which has 4 great blue toned polishes!  To prevent myself from repeating the review with each polish, they are amazing! super pigmented, smooth flowing creams, and the brush, oh my gosh the brush!! Perfection! Thats all I have to say about that, if you haven't already tried Lancome, I cannot recommend it enough!
 Simply Aqua #500
Ultramarine Green #521
Aqua Bleu #545
Plunge Pool #561

I used 3 thin coats for each, I probably could have just done 2, but I am a chronic 3 coater.

These polishes are amazing and I can't wait to try more from Lancome, have you tried Lancome Polish? Any colors you think I should try?

OPI Mod About You

Here is OPI Mod About You with an accent nail of OPI Crown Me Already.  This mani felt so springy and feminine, and also made my hands look so tan!! I absolutely love this manicure, it was my first time wearing both polishes, but I had them on my wish list for a while.

It's so interesting to me how the color photographed differently depending on the bottle that I was holding, the first picture with the Mod About You bottle shows the color more accurately.

I know I saw this mani on another person, maybe via blog or instagram, but I have no clue who, so if you do know please leave it in the comments for me so that I can link to proper credit... Though I'm sure it has been done many times.

Blue Nails For Autism Awareness

April is Autism Awareness month, and the main color for Autism Awareness is blue.  I only did 2 manicures specifically for this cause,  I was planning on doing more but I got sidetracked with the Disney Nail Art Challenge.
Mani 1:

The puzzle piece is used as a symbol for Autism Awareness, this mani features a base of Sinful Colors Endless Blue, the accent nail features Endless Blue, Wet n' Wild Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire, China Glaze Kinetic Candy and OPI Can't Find My Czechbook.

 Mani 2:

This mani also features a base of Sinful Colors Endless Blue.  The accent nail is a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, with the roses done using Endless Blue and Chrome Girl Barely Legal. The leaves are Essie First Timer.

Rainbow Nails

I recently entered an Instagram nail art contest hosted by @thary_xoxo and the theme was rainbow! Everyone was allowed 3 entries, so here are mine! And if you are on Instagram please follow me @sparkleandpolish I am much better at posting there than I am about blogging here, but I'm really working on it :)
Here is my first entry:

This mani makes me think of the circus, so many colors going on haha
Ring finger is a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, dots are China Glaze Make Some Noise, Sally Hansen Sun Kissed, Mellow Yellow, Lacey Lilac and Barracuda, and Essie First Timer

Pointer Finger is a gradient of Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow, Sun Kissed and China Glaze Make Some Noise
Thumb and Pinky were My Boyfriend Scales Walls with NOPI Confetti Fun layered on top

My second entry is rainbow leopard. This is my first time doing all over leopard, I'm usually much more of an accent nail fan, but this was kind of fun. The base color is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and the spot outline is China Glaze Liquid Leather.

Disney Nail Art Challenge Day 7: The Lion King

Sorry I'm late with this post.. I was just not inspired by the theme so it took some effort.. but enjoy my Lion King inspired sunset and tree motif.
For these nails I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, then I painted 1 coat of Chrome Girl Endless Summer on all of my nails.  After that dried, I sponged a gradient of Endless Summer and OPI My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours. I freehanded black tips and then blobbed on an accent nail tree. The middle finger has a sun rising, or maybe setting to create the bright orange tones of the sky.
Enjoy!!

Disney Nail Art Challenge Day 6: Bambi

Here are my nails for day 6 of the Disney Nail Art Challenge, hosted by Rambles of a Polish Addict.  I have never seen the entire movie of Bambi, but Flower the skunk is just so freaking cute!! I painted Flower's face on my thumb nail, did an attempt at skunk stripes on the pointer and pinkie fingers, and on my middle and ring fingers I did dotted flowers.  I absolutely loved this manicure!!

Polishes Used:
China Glaze Liquid Leather, For Audrey and Dance Baby, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Essie First Timer, Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and Sun Kissed. The gray on Flower's face is a mix of Liquid Leather and MBFSW, because I am seriously lacking a pale gray in my collection.

Disney Nail Art Challenge Day 5: The Beauty And The Beast

Day 5!! Todays nails are inspired by Beauty and the Beast.  I did my best to copy Chip onto my nails, his face on my ring finger, and the other nails have the pattern from the base of the cup. Enjoy :)

I think his nose/handle is a little to big for his face... but other than that he is actually pretty cute.
